On 11.09.1973 the government of Salvador Allende and the Unidad Popular was defeated by a military coup d’état led by general Augusto Pinochet after an economical boykott from the national economical elites. The implication of the US government in this fact was shown years later.

All this is presented in ‘Missing’ (1982, C. Costa-Gavras), a movie that caused a lot of controversies (mostly in the USA). This film tells the real story of the disappearance of the young writer and filmmaker Charles Horman (John Shea) and the titanical fight between his father, a successful businessman (Jack Lemmon) and his wife (Sissy Spacek). Before the projection there will be a soul session by Redding Cooke DJ and the performance of our guest artist, Nicolás Miquea (Chilean songwriter and singer).

September 25 from 7pm in the B-Lage in Neukölln (Mareschstraße 1 near S-Bahn Sonnenallee).
