There‘s a lot going on this week – not least our regular meeting on Monday where Erkin Erdogan, co-chair of the HDP-HDK will be talking about the referendum in Turkey and what happens now. Here‘s a summary of some of the most interesting events. Hope to see you there.
SUNDAY 23 APRIL is the first round of the French elections, with a range of possible results ranging from the inspiring to the catastrophic. The Migration Voter initiative is organising an election night party to watch the results together. Its a semi-private party but friends of Die LINKE Berlin internationals are invited. On MONDAY 24 APRIL we will be having our regular monthly meeting in the offices of DIE LINKE Neukölln (Wipperstraße 6, S-,U-Bahn Neukölln, 7pm). Erkin Erdogan, co-speaker of the HDP/HDK Berlin-Brandenburg will be talking about the fallout from last week‘s referendum which ended in a narrow (and disputed) victory for Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan (no relation). Yesterday the HDP/HDK organised a lively demo in Berlin and further actions are planned in the run up to Erdogan‘s appearance at the G20 summit in Hamburg in July. On TUESDAY 25 APRIL Ivanka Trump will be in town attending a summit and gala party of the W20 (the G20 for women). While the 1% will be flaunting their wealth inside the Deutsche Bank Kunsthalle, The Coalition Berlin (of whom DIE LINKE Berlin Internationals is an active member) will be organising a Gala für Alle mixing protest with a broad cultural programme. It all kicks off outside the Kunsthalle on Unter den Linden 13 at 6.30pm
On WEDNESDAY 26 APRIL, our partners in the Polish party RAZEM will be having an open meeting in English. Its at 7pm in the Club der polnischen Versager, Ackerstraße 169
On THURSDAY 27 APRIL, Yonathan Mizrachi, the executive director of the Israeli NGO Emek Shaveh will be speaking about the politicisation of archaeology in the Israel-Palestine conflict. The meeting will be at 6pm in Meeting Room 3 of Karl Liebknecht Haus on Rosa Luxemburg Platz
On SUNDAY 30 APRIL, DiEM25 is having a Task Force Meeting on Building Rebel Cities from 2pm to 6pm in the TU, Room E222. In the evening, you have a choice of films to see. Our partners in SoulKino are organising a film and discussion on remembering the Spanish Civil War from 7.15 pm in B-Lage, Mareschstraße 1 . Meanwhile at the MovieMento cinema, Combatants for Peace is organising a showing of Disturbing the Peace, followed by a live broadcast of the 12th joint Israeli-Palestinian Memorial Day Ceremony
On MONDAY 1 APRIL there will be the trade union demo and the revolutionary 1 May demo in the evening. In the afternoon, we’ll have a stall between 1pm and 6pm at the MyFest at Mariannenplatz in front of the Bethanien building. If you can help out on the stall, please contact us at email@example.com

On WEDNESDAY, 17 MAY we’re organising a Public Meeting on the G20 protests in Karl Liebknecht Haus Luxemburg Saal on Rosa Luxemburg Saal. There will be an international panel of speakers. More information to follow soon.
